Taking a look around the Thames Barrier Park

As a last minute decision we took a quick look around this hidden beauty. Somewhere that can easily be missed whilst driving from Beckton to the Isle of Dogs. Laura and I have been here before and have spoken about this place to Nanna Bundy (Mum). I thought that instead of describing it why not go there. It was a shame that we only had an hour to spare and maybe Nanna Bundy will go with Auntie Clair (Lilâ€™ Sis) soon.

Our "Gypsy Queen" Clematis

I only planted this clematis a month ago and it has already climbed the back wall and now sports a lovely purple display. Hereâ€™s hoping the other clematis plants take the hint as it would be nice to see white, red and blue along side.

Faulty floor

After many complaints to the originally constructors and contractors of China Shipping House we are now in a position to put right the faulty flooring in our buildingâ€™s reception area. It looked absolutely awful, what with large cracks and gashes (and thatâ€™s not describing the switchboard operatorsâ€™ bits).

Some say the floor was built in a rush being so far behind schedule. Who knows?

Today, work has started and now the floor tiles have been dug up. This work is being done after hours but it is still a inconvenience for people. As you can imagine thereâ€™s plenty of aggravation, noise and dust. Still they call that progress just to put this all right. Locals huh!

Letâ€™s hope that the lorries trundling down Dooley road do not rock and shake the building as we could well be doing this again in a few years time!

Hurrah for ~~Suffolk~~ Felixstowe workmanship.
